Chiropractic Treatment of Leg & Arm Pain
Pain Relief in Arms & Legs
Chiropractic care is most commonly thought of as treatment for joints and muscles of the spine. Chiropractic has proven to be an extremely safe and effective method for treating many common extremity disorders.
There are 27 bones in the hand and wrist and 26 bones in our feet and ankles that can become malpositioned over the years due to many things, including repetitive stress (i.e. long term keyboard use or extensive running) or injury for example.
Our bones and muscles all connect together to form what is called the Kinetic Chain. If there are any ailments along this Kinetic Chain, then pain or dysfunction can result anywhere along the path from the furthest point of the Kinetic Chain (hands and feet) all the way to the spine. From the standpoint of a chiropractor it only makes sense to treat any ailments or disorders in the extremities that can be the cause of local pain or affecting somewhere else anywhere along the kinetic chain.
Dr. Mairs has received extensive training in addition to that of the normal chiropractic education in the area of extremity care. This includes extremity diagnosis, adjusting, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
